Chirp Cafe Live Music Series Presents: The Peter Louis Trio

Peter Louis is a guitarist, jazz composer and arranger who has led and played with many musicians in the NYC area and elsewhere in the Northeast. Peter has studied with Oscar Feldman, Michael Webster and Howard Morgen. His recent album, On the Avenue, is a compilation of his compositions and arrangements, and is available on Spotify, CD Baby and Apple Music, as well as YouTube. 

Nanae Atarashi was born in Osaka, Japan and graduated from Kyoto Women's University with a degree in music education. After working as a music instructor in and performing around Osaka and Kyoto, Nanae moved to New York in 2007. She studied jazz piano with George Cables and Latin jazz with alto saxophonist Oscar Feldman. Nanae currently teaches and performs in New York City.

Edan Soroker is a dynamic saxophonist based in New York City. He has recently returned to the East Coast from San Francisco, where he played with a variety of jazz and funk groups around the Bay Area. Recent credits include the San Jose Jazz Festival, playing as a guest soloist with the ‘Round Midnight quartet.

Edan brings a fresh voice to the saxophone. Having grown up in New York and Tel Aviv and traveled extensively through South America, he expresses a diversity of flavors and influences in his playing.

Edan plays the alto, soprano, and tenor saxophones, and flute.
