Artist of the Month: Cindy Demand

Cynthia has been painting for seven years and has studied Oil Painting and Composition at the Art Students League with Mary Beth McKenzie and Amy Digi.

 All works in the exhibition are in oil or watercolor, mounted on board and matted. 

Rough edges are often exposed, forcing the landscape to extend beyond its boundaries, invoking the natural, uncontrollable world.

 “The best days are all-day plein air painting at the beach at Sherwood Island in Connecticut. Capturing the clouds as they are ever-changing is exciting, challenging and a good excuse to keep looking up.”
